Some of our favorite tablewares and linens come from Japanese company Fog Linen. The brand’s creator, Yumiko Sekine founded her first business in 1993, not producing fabrics, but importing used books and housewares to Japan. Being familiar with home decor and finding inspiration in the common housewares she grew up with, Sekine began to design and source her own linen products.
Fog Linen Works was born, and Sekine continues to create beautiful products for everyday use. The simple fabrics and sleek, minimal designs make Fog’s products a good fit for any home. We especially love their wood plates, coasters and serveware, which fit in seamlessly with our modern interiors. Fog also makes napkins, tablecloths, and aprons in timeless patterns made from natural fibers. And, to boot, they produce trays to match your set of linens, creating a cool and polished look.
